About Lael Rutherford

Lael Rutherford

I have had art in my life ever since I can remember. The love of creating has always been a constant. I received a Bachelor of Arts in Art Education from Trenton State College and a Masters in Education from Glassboro State College. After teaching elementary art for several years, I worked at the Philadelphia Inquirer for 32 years, retiring in 2013. An avid craftsperson for many years in fabric arts, I have now returned to my old love of painting, particularly watercolors. My painting success and talent continues to grow through private instruction, workshops with prominent local artists and exposure to many juried art shows throughout the area. I have received awards in shows in Haddonfield, Medford, Mt. Holly and Mt Laurel. I...
